You can't compare crime rates between countries in most cases. The FBI stats that you see for US cities are only a fraction of actual violent crime (simply punching someone in the face for example would most likely NOT end up recorded in the assault stats for a US city...if the cops even were called and bothered to take a report). Most US assaults, etc, never end up in the statistics, which is NOT the case in the UK. If the US reported crime and compiled stats the same way as in the UK, then the crime rate would appear much higher (because it is).

Homicide is the easiest to compare between countries, but even then it's not always the same. In the US, only murders and voluntary manslaughter are counted, whereas in some other countries involuntary manslaughter, justified homicides, and even attempted murders are also included in the homicide rate.

london is like more than twice chicago's size, and if this crap ever happened in london, brits would crap themselves. this isn't bragging about the usa being badder, this is showing reality.

Yeah I wonder what the situation is with the Italian Mafia in Sicily and Naples these days.

I heard of people being lost in Istambul
Near one port they have a number of 'fish restaurants' under the huge bridge
It's not surprising that there are no clients there. Don't you even try stopping in front one of them.
You just get suddenly pushed inside and the door closes
Luckily, my photo and cell phone were cheap, and they stayed with me...
