Seattle has a very slightly larger percentage of same sex couples when it comes to living in a household and I think this is probably the only measurement against S.F that it comes out on top.. Otherwise as a gay hub I think Seattle is on the bottom vs S.F. If you want most people to believe Seattle is a larger gay hub than S.F you're going to have to show more meat than that one metric.. Jus sayin...
I've lived in both areas so I cannot discuss this with you further.

So by virtue of the fact that you have lived in both cities by definition means you are qualified to designate Seattle as more of a gay hub than S.F and say no more to back that up... ok... good luck with that lol.. Hey i'm trying to help you make the case for Seattle, most people in here would need more evidence as well for Seattle in favour of S.F. I'm open here but like most need more evidence other than just one who says take my word for it cuz I lived in both places. I'm sorry but I think the burden of proof is on your side making such a claim.

Speaking as a visitor and a gay man, I can say that I found S.F simply a larger and more prolific gay hub..

What I'm saying is, it's insulting to come at a resident of a place as if they don't know but somehow you know better LOL If I take a trip to Toronto and give my assessment of the place and you as a resident tell me otherwise, I can't imagine arguing with you about it. I just don't understand that mentality.

Are we just talking about impressions of which is gayer or actual stats? I can tell you with assurance that if you were to ask someone in the U.K., Canada, Australia, and western Europe which is gayer the answer ail be S.F. with most asking " where is Seattle? "
Does their ignorance of Seattle make S.F. the correct answer? It does if we talk about influence.

San Francisco is more influential than Seattle in every conceivable way so...

I hear what you are saying but there is nothing demonstrable you are providing other than one solitary metric. I did some basic research and S.F city and Metro has a much larger gay population than anything comparable to Seattle city and metro. Seattle has impressive relative percentages in some areas but S.F rolls over it in terms of absolute numbers and to a lesser extent but still more so in relative percentages across more than just one metric. Couple that with a large gay villiage that S.F has, the history and even modern day influence on gay culture that S.F had and has (plus I'm more than sure there are many more gay businesses and organizations - not just local but with International reach in S.F) and the only other thing I have from you is that I should not argue with you just because you lived in both places and you can't imagine me doing so. As nice as Seattle is (underrated too), It is certainly not the tourist magnet that S.F is and particularly amongst us sisters. The first 'gay' city I ever visited was S.F and I specifically went there because I had to see the Castro as a gay man.

If you travelled to Toronto and made an assessment and I felt you were incorrect I would explain why! I remember reading somewhere that Toronto has more gays than S.F but as impressive a gay hub as Toronto is, I would have to research and tread very carefully before taking S.F on as a larger gay hub - certainly I don't think Toronto is nearly as influential on gay culture as S.F is regardless of how many gays are here.

So, that makes S.F. more of a " hub ", for gay tourists at least. My friends from The Netherlands, and France went to S.F. Seattle, they hadn't heard of.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy Seattle.

Yes, but I would suggest that " gay tourists " are proportionately higher in S.F. than Seattle.
