How many non-Irish and non-Scots support the Irish and Scot national football team?
the Netherlands have been in the top 5 national football teams with the most foreign fans for 40 years.
Where are Ireland and Scotland in this world cup?

Nope, they aren't really good. Too much rice, too little fish.

I don't agree, but if that makes you feel better.

Unfortunately I had to take a graduate level anthropology course on colonialism. I had to learn very gruesome details of colonialist practices, and the Dutch, just as much as others, used violent torture tactics to control populations.

Since this is a worldwide forum, it is difficult to say which country is most popular or commonly thought of since it differs from countries and regions.

But considering the US is still the most well known and powerful country in the world, from an American perspective, I'd say Japan is most popular, followed by the UK.

Japan, for its close miltary and trade ties and technology transfer with the US (as well as its cultural and food imports). California Roll was a domestic version of sushi. Even some Hollywood shows (Godzilla, The Grudge, etc) were adapted from Japanese movies.

I can't think of any American show adapted from a British one (apart from Harry Potter) nor any American food adapted from British cuisine.

UK is known, at best, for being the most loyal US ally of all countries.

Just now the most famous copies are The Office and House of Cards.
The US is well known to copy Europeans TV shows, films and TV games.
