I had no idea that Santa Fe, New Mexico was the highest major city in the United States. I always thought it was in the middle of the desert with a flat landscape. Maybe it is but its the high desert like Denver is on the high plains.
Very surprised that Zurich and Geneva, Switzerland are only 1500-2500 feet above sea level despite being in the Alps, no higher than Las Vegas. One place I do want to visit is Banff, Canada in the middle of the Canadian Rockies but the town itself is less than a mile high.
My favorite mile high city would have to be Colorado Springs. If you get into smaller towns, then Estes Park and Grand Lake in Colorado are nice.
Or invest in fibre optic or better yet hyperoptic internet.
Why shooed I pay a premium to deal with somebody else's mess? Anyone who needs to repost hundreds of common calendar pictures can invest in their own website.

You got me there, although it will enhance your viewing pleasure and perhaps make you a little less grumpy.

Santa Fe, New Mexico more than a mile high ....it is at about 7,000 ft ASL ...almost a mile and a half.
Santa Fe is on the edge of the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, the southernmost range of the Rockies.
Just outside of town looms Santa Fe Baldy at 12,662 ft.
There is a ski resort on it, base elevation is at almost 10,000 ft. ...lifts go up to almost 12,000 ft.
You’re right, Banff, Alberta is lower than a mile ...not a lot lower though, it is at about 4,600 ft.
nearby world famous spectacular Lake Louise is a bit over a mile high, the lake is at about 5,700 ft.
