The five eyes are a big problem (US, Canada, UK, Australia, and New Zealand).
Five eyes is merely intelligence and not a military pact, indeed much of the intelligence gathered relates to preventing terrorism and trying to secure safety.
As for Cyber Warfare, the main culprits are China, Russia and states such as North Korea, who have invested heavily in such disruptive strategies.
Democracy is a myth. There is no real democracy in any country in the world. Democracy, by definition, is the power of the people. And the world is ruled by corporations, through their politicians. The succession of power in the West is all nonsense. We vote for those, and choose those for whom we are allowed to vote and whom you need to choose, who says and does the "right thing" according to the "party line". If suddenly everything went wrong and we suddenly chose the wrong person, then various machinations are used. Capitalism is a good thing,because it allows you to earn money..Yeah, but not for you. How many millions have you earned in your life? Capitalism is the power of capital, i.e., again, the power of corporations. And they has no intention of sharing their own wealth with you. Corporations should get rich, not you. You are just a cog in the corporations machine for creating their own wealth. I am sure that in the future,maybe in the distant future, society will develop precisely along the path of" socialism", i.e. along the path of a socially oriented system where all benefits are distributed evenly among all members of society.
Socialism is a 'good idea' but of course it doesn't work! The problem with socialism is human nature, people will ALWAYS take more than their share, not only that socialism enables tyrannical despots to control its population and before you know it you have Communism which is a nightmare for the have not's (which equates to most of the population). Democracy means that your government HAS to please you, if it doesn't 'please' its population its removed by the population, its freedom, dictators are NOT something the free world wants (see Hong Kong for a current example), Democracy is THE most important aspect for any society.

Recently, either on January 6, or when, in one supposedly democratic country, dissatisfied citizens tried, not to overthrow, but simply to get to the government to convey their point of view. They were simply branded terrorists and dispersed... some were put in prison.... some were shot.. The classic fight against the objectionable and silencing of mouths. Everything is as in the best traditions of totalitarian regimes led by tyrants.

Its not 'nonsense' though is it, I got to vote on the who I wanted in government, I got to vote on Brexit, I got to vote on my local MP. Soon I'll get to vote again, and I don't have to worry about having poison smeared on my door knocker if I decide to announce that BoJo is an idiot doing a god-awful job, I am free to do so without fear. Also if I wanted to I could 'run for government' myself, also without fear of being beaten and carted off to prison! Its Democracy and as Churchill put it:-

In Russia Putin tells you how long he wants to be in power - and if you disagree expect to have poison smeared all over your door knocker! Democracy is THE most important aspect for any society, it promotes freedom, it promotes competition and capitalism which promotes wealth. Ultimately it promotes a better standard of living but most importantly of all NOBODY on this planet should have to live like North Koreans.

Storming the capitol to attempt to physically force them into making a decision that benefitted them, votes be damned, is not democracy. I'm glad they are in prison.

Iran, North Korea, Cuba, and China are nothing. They are revolutionary systems that refuse to collapse, not power plays. Powerful countries use them as an excuse, but that is all.
Russia certainly is a threat or would like to be, as would the EU. But first they must come out from under the thumb of the five eyes.
