On the other hand, the U.S. is the country where multiracials are labeled White, for example Mexicans, and many U.S. nationals of mixed ancestry --- Keanu Reeves (Asian\English) ... Megan Fox (Amerindian\Finland). Even North Africans (the Magreb world) are automatically classified as white by the U.S. census. So by U.S. census standards, if you do not look 100 percent Subsaharan African, then you are White.

Not true. Mariah Carey (who is, ironically, Afro-Venezuelan on her father's side) is not considered white, nor is Derek Jeter, Obama, myself, etc. etc. If you look as if you might be a small percent Subsaharan African, then you are NOT White.
What the U.S. census defines as White and what American society defines as White are two different things.
U.S. census: Light colored skin (excluding east Asians) = White
American society: a majority of European ancestry = White
You don't even have to be lightskin to be considered White by U.S census standards, since even an Egyptian who can pass for an African American would be considered "White" since THE U.S CENSUS CONSIDERS ALL EGYPTIANS TO BE "WHITE" REGARDLESS OF SKIN COLOR.
So this Egyptian woman for example would be considered "White" by U.S census standards, even though she racially resembles an African American more so than she does a European American. http://www.boomshots.com/wp-content/...05/airis-3.jpg

Derick Jeter would be considered White by the vast majority of people who did not know his ancestry. Biologically he is pretty much White looking.
I think one of the problems here, back to the original question, is the diversity of cultures in Latin America. Even within countries. You cannot say all Latin cultures have similarities to Italian culture, however some.. (Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Cuba come to mind).

Lucario are you saying that phenotype wise, you do not look like you are of predominantly Sub Saharian African ancestry ? Do you have a very racially ambiguous/mixed race looking phenotype ?

No.....I am obviously Black, though also obviously not 100% Sub Saharan. Same color as Obama. What I am saying is that any "mixed" person ranging from Jeter/Mariah to Obama/me to even some people much darker are all called Black, even though we may range from 90% African to 90% European.

Nah, Black folk could look at Jeter and tell something is going on there.
I don't see Cuba as being very close to Italy culturally; it is WAY too African for that.
