I have recently relocated to a beautiful coastal town. Each week, there is a Farmer's Market, with crafts and other home made items displayed.
We get a lot of tourists.
I thought about having a small stand with sample published copies of customized children's books, with the children as the central character and the beach town the setting.
My grandparents surprised me with a customized book when I was a child, and I always remembered that.
With software programs available, I could easily create an online form that customers could complete with specifics like first names, ages, etc. and even upload photos from their vacation to include in the storybook.
What would be a fair market price to charge for a customized children's book with an original story? I know there are online stores that offer this, where the cost is around $35. This book would be unique to the setting of the coastal town.
The book sounds great and fun for a child but, in this day and age, $35 is a lot of money for a book. I would say no more than $25, including tax/shipping.
