Not sure of what sort of housing you're interested in, but the Cody Enterprise would give you a good idea of what's out there. Some of the smaller towns outside of Cody are a bit less expensive.

I don't know about Sheridan, but Cody doesn't have a significant black population. There are a few black families here. I haven't noticed any sort of problems based on race or ethnicity. Granted, I come from a city (Memphis) where everything is about race so this concept of everyone playing nice is new to me!
There's a pretty broad spectrum of churches - all the major denominations seem to be here (plus a few I'd never heard of til we moved here! ) Any particular kind of church you're curious about? (I may have already researched it as we were in the position of finding a church when we got here.)

THANK YOU very much for great suggestions and resources. Really like the comment about "everyone playing nice concept" as I come from south florida by way of new york city and that concept would be new to me as well (but refreshing). I've always belonged to a baptist church; down here it's southern baptist but any baptist will do- i would be just pleased to attend church. Iwill look into housing prices . Happy Thanksgiving!

There's a pretty broad spectrum of churches - all the major denominations seem to be here (plus a few I'd never heard of til we moved here! ) Any particular kind of church you're curious about? (I may have already researched it as we were in the position of finding a church when we got here.)
