Were about to move to Fort Mill next summer. With all the search that I have made I already love it!! Nice restaurants, nice people, good schools and they almost have a soccer club for my boy! What else???

Fort Mill has a way to go before we can be described as having nice restaurants. I think we are getting there though. Passion8 and Local Dish are really good.

You're right, but those are considered our best. Give me a good Thai and Mexican restaurant and I will be happy!
Edit: I should add La Poblanita in Plaza Fiesta is excellent, but is a food court type restaurant.

I would put Sila Thai in Rock Hill up against any other Thai place in any city. Plus there are plenty of good restaurants in Charlotte

Besides the local soccer teams in Fort Mill, and Tega Cay there is also Palmetto United (based out of Fort Mill, SC)

Palmetto United FC - Soccer Club - Tega Cay-Fort Mill-Indian Land, South Carolina

My personal opinion is that as a parent we made the right choice with the Fort Mill School District

You can check out: Fort Mill Schools - Fort Mill South Carolina School Ratings - Public and Private , or schooldigger.com, or South Carolina Department of Education .

Moved across River to Rock Hill a couple years ago from Charlotte. Looked at Fort Mill too but decided on Rock Hill. I would say if my children were younger I'd definitely would have preferred Fort Mill schools for academics but my two were middle school aged and high school and the choices in Rock Hill were great especially for my son who is athlete, Rock Hill has national powerhouses for sports. Have family in Fort Mill with younger kids and they love it their and the schools they are very happy with that's why they and many others have left Charlotte and CMS schools, as i did too.
