So I get a letter from the "postmaster" saying "its recommended you place a mailbox on a 40-44 inch pedestal with an approved mailbox" blah blah blah. NOBODY in my neighborhood has one. So im not sure if im the only one who got the notice, but I dont see why im being asked to do this. The walk from the road to the mailbox is probably 15 feet. They want it done in 2 weeks time. No thanks. I dont have the $$ laying around nor the time to deal with it, as I already have a few other projects to do that are MUCH more important.
Anyone else get this notice? How serious do i take it?

I dont have a new house, nor are any houses in my neighborhood new. I doubt any will actually comply.
