does anyone know what the new construction is in Lake Wylie on Rt 274 (south? of the 49 intersection, on the left as you are heading toward Rock Hill) its sort of across from Crowder Creek school?
We live in Autumn Cove and when we moved in, we were told it was being developed for "mixed use." However, it looks like what they are building is going to be apartments :-( I thought I read a few months ago that the school district and a development co were going to do a land swap and I was hoping this property was going to the school district....
no the land swap deal is directly next to crowders creek. with crescent filing bankruptcy, there has been a delay. i don't know the status. i'm not sure anymore what that is that is being built but it does look like apts. you can call the county building and code dept and they'll tell you.
From what I heard, it will be apartments near the road and some high-end homes near the lake.
The land swap deal is on the other side of the highway, right next to CC. They will be building a road that will connect to 557. There will be single family and multi-unit housing along with a park and sports fields along that road. News was in the Pilot a few months ago about it.
