Description: For a million-dollar view of Lake Tahoe, it’s hard to beat the 2.4-mile gondola ride that climbs over 6,200 feet from Stateline, providing skiers and hikers alike direct access to the ski resort from the downtown area of South Lake Tahoe/Stateline. From the top station at 9,156 feet, skiers can access the new intermediate trails, and hikers can embark on their journey to explore the resort’s 4,800 acres. The gondola is California’s longest ski gondola and, with 138 cabins, has the most uphill carrying capacity of any gondola in California.
