Description: You’ll find lots of places to take kids fishing on and around Lake Tahoe, but as we’ve said before, you have to be a fairly good angler to catch anything (besides, fishing with kids is not as much fun as catching fish with kids!). So, if you’re looking for fishing spots that cater to the younger anglers on the South Shore, try Saw Mill Pond. You have to bring your own gear here, and only children younger than age 16 are allowed to fish in the pond. There is no charge. The pond is located about 1 mile south of South Lake Tahoe on US 50.
