Description: Thrill rides come in all sizes and shapes, but the Heavenly Flyer is especially exhilarating as it zooms riders down a 3,100-foot zip-line cable, barely skimming the treetops at Heavenly Mountain Resort. Strapped in chairs that hang from the cable, riders enjoy this high-speed jaunt along with gorgeous views of Lake Tahoe as it rushes up to meet them. The flyer operates summer and winter from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily and for limited hours during off season. To be on the safe side, however, call first before heading to the mountain. The ride is not suitable for small children, but pre-teens and older kids love this ultra-cool experience. To ride you must be between 52 and 80 inches tall and weigh between 75 and 275 pounds. You’ll need a gondola ticket (if not skiing) along with the flyer ticket, which is $30.
