Description: After a complete renovation, this hotel is now one of the nicest places to stay downtown, with 92 units, some of which are balcony suites with refrigerators and wet bars. Many of the bathrooms are marble and granite, each room has an enormous HD television, and the high-thread-count sheets on the beds will have you purring. There are both smoking and nonsmoking rooms. Services include valet parking, a fitness center, a lap pool, and access to the Downtown Health and Racquet Club next door. Also next door is the Criterion Multiplex Cinema (which has a liquor license, unusual for American movie theaters), but you might just want to relax in the spacious lobby with its 20-foot ceilings, marble floors, Axminster carpets, and mammoth fireplace.
