Description: An attractive 40-acre campus with towering trees and buildings designed in neo–French Norman style helps Cascia Hall make a memorable first impression. The academic record of the 80-plus-year-old school is even more impressive. One hundred percent of the graduates go on to college, and in 2009 the school had three National Merit Scholars. The school consists of a middle school and upper school, for 6th through 12th grade, and the curriculum is college preparatory with an emphasis on liberal arts. Ten Advanced Placement courses are offered, as well as five years of German, three years of Chinese, six years of Spanish, four years of Latin, and six years of French.The school has an outstanding college-counseling program, starting with help for freshmen in planning their educational futures. In addition to challenging academics, athletics are not neglected. Cascia Hall is ranked in the top five of all high school athletic programs in the state regardless of class. Other extracurricular activities include pep band, chorus, drama, academic bowl, bell choir, debate, a literary magazine, and a school newspaper, plus a number of special-interest clubs.The school enrollment is just under 600 students. The faculty is under the direction of the Augustinian Friars—a teaching order associated with Villanova University, Merrimack College, and several other secondary schools. It is accredited by the North Central Association and the Oklahoma State Department of Education.Students are required to take theology classes, and uniforms are mandatory. Sixty-seven percent of the teachers hold advanced degrees and two have received national certification. The 2009–2010 tuition was $10,875 for all grades.
