Description: Evangelistic Temple School is an interdenominational Christian school serving approximately 250 students from preschool through high school. Textbooks come from both Christian and secular publishing companies. The school was founded in 1984 by the Evangelistic Temple Church. The first class graduated in 2008. Eighteen out of 19 graduating seniors went on to college. The school offers Advanced Placement courses in calculus and physics. A number of the teachers have advanced degrees and all are trained in teaching an integrated Biblical worldview—helping students to see God revealed in every subject.The large school building includes a computer lab, gym, library/conference room, areas for art and vocal music, and a cafeteria. There are two well-equipped playgrounds, but sports like football, golf, and track utilize other facilities in the community. Additional activities include basketball, volleyball, and cheerleading.Class sizes vary by age—the largest classes are middle school. Overall, the classes average about 18 students. All teachers are state certified or licensed. The school is accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International.The tuition (2009–2010) is $4,856 for grades 1 through 8 and $5,271 for grades 9 through 12. Extended care before school is offered at no extra charge; for after school care there is a fee. Financial aid is available. Uniforms are required.
