1. Shaman Gallery

City: Hot Springs, SD
Category: Shopping
Telephone: (605) 745-6602
Address: 405 North River St.

Description: Owner Linda Heath and her husband, manager Adam Heath, are justifiably proud of the Shaman Gallery, located right across from the town’s waterfall in a two-story historic sandstone building. This new location has 4,000 square feet, making it the largest original gallery in the Dakotas. One transplanted California artisan said the displays were better than anything he had ever seen in California. Here you can find Native American artifacts, works by well-known Native American painters, a large collection of western art, works by New York artists, illustration art from the 1940s and 1950s, and offerings by local artists and potters. Shaman Gallery is open each day in the summer from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Mon through Sat from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the winter.
