Description: You’ll find a wide range of interactive environmental education exhibits here, including a simulated raft ride down the Trinity River. Open Tuesday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Best for ages six and up.

Description: This huge, 47-acre water park (formerly Wet ’n’ Wild) is one sure way to beat the Texas heat. You’ll find waterslides, tube rides, lagoons, and a special area for families with small children that is like a park within a park. Best for ages two and up. (Open daily May through Labor Day, weekends only through mid-September.)

Description: The Cowboys have won five of their eight Super Bowl appearances, taking home the world championship in 1971, 1977, 1992, 1993, and 1995. The new $1 billion stadium, which will host the 2011 Super Bowl, opened in 2009, with seating for about 80,000 and expandable for crowds up to 105,000. Kids will especially love its space-age look. You’ll find 286 concession places; more than 1,600 toilets; and a pro shop. Tickets are expensive.
