Description: To give you an idea of the size of Charlie and Susie Crawford’s collection of antiques, reproduction furniture, Asian art and decoratives, bric-and-brac, marble and bronze sculpture and statuary, ornamental iron and outdoor furniture, please note that Charlie’s has its own speed limit: 8 miles per hour. Enter the sprawling property, 20 minutes from Williamsburg, and slow down—so you can catch a glimpse of the ferocious bears (sculptures) lining either side of the rutted driveway. Many an hour could be wiled away strolling through the goods here, especially for those looking for unique furnishings and souvenirs. There’s also a large collection of natural stones and pavers for landscaping needs—decorative pebbles, garden stones, large boulders, field stones for water gardens, pathways, and walls. Sold by the pound or ton. (A sign warns: “No returns on rocks.”) Closed Tues and Wed in the winter months, except by appointment.
