Triangle Tattoo and Museum

There are not many tattoo museums in the world, but the Triangle Tattoo and Museum in Fort Bragg, California is one of the best. It opened in 1986 and is open for tours all week long from noon until 6 pm. There is no admission fee for a tour and both field trip and personal tours are available with a guide if scheduled in advance. Guests will see the history or tattooing and more tattoo images than they may have ever imagined. There is a patriotic tattoo exhibit, exhibits showing tattooing in various cultures, the development of tattoo tools, and a showcase of tattoo machines. The museum's Tattoos Without Consent exhibit is a look into tattoos that were forced on people throughout history including German, Russian, and Chinese victims. There is a look into circus tattoos in the Tattooing in the Circus Sideshow exhibit and The Women's Wall, where guests can explore the history of female tattoos. The museum was opened by Mr. G and Madame Chinchilla, who together have more than 25 years of tattoo experience. Both of these tattoo professionals have years of experience and have authored books and written for magazines and newspapers on the art of tattooing. Both of them continue to tattoo while also operating the museum.
