My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego | List of Best Posts
This blog is where I express myself to the world or at least to those who might stop by to read what I post . Maybe God will use what I post (I am a Christian and this blog will have a most decidedly Christian bent to it) to good effect in the lives of my readers.

I may turn some of my posts into a book. I may cease blogging here altogether. Who knows. But for now..I am content to post away in this, my own little corner of the world.

Rather than reading through my now lengthy list of posts you may wish to read what I consider to be my very best posts or you can just read the posts that deal with a single subject category that might interest you.

Please know that I am open to any input on any topic I write about. If you have something to say about anything you see written here please....feel free to speak up in the form of leaving a comment or sending me a PM (private message).

And if you are in San Diego and wish to meet the one and only Carlos (that's me )...drop me a private message. I always enjoy meeting one of my readers!

Thanks.

Carlos

Obama about to put a nail in the coffin of our sovereignty?

I don't recall how I got to know about this, probably by following links to wherever they led me at something I was reading but it's rather alarming.

Not that there is a whole lot of anything that any of us can do about this but it's alarming nevertheless.

Between December 7th and 18th Obama is apparently scheduled to take part in a global climate treaty conference otherwise referred to as COP15.

If this treaty is signed and then ratified by the U.S. Senate it will effectively lead us strongly down the path to one world government in that U.S. climate policy, which will include taxation and other particulars to motivate businesses to cut their carbon emissions (otherwise known as cap and trade), will effectively be taken out of our hands and handed over to a world governing body!

While we are busy dealing with health care legislation, a Swine Flu emergency declaration, town hall meetings, the economy and other domestic affairs the COP15 conference and the implications for our sovereignty as an independent country are going almost unnoticed.

The wording of the treaty text, some of which I have looked at, is a mish mash of barely comprehensible gibberish. Barely comprehensible to any who are not lawyers and political staff bureaucrats that is.

It is under such barely comprehensible language that things get sneaked in by those who would not want the language of such treaties to be plain and easily understood by the common "rabble" who don't know when to appreciate a good treaty.

Here are some links and quotes on this coming conference that I thought might be instructive to share with you all.

First up from an article at the Washington Times that can be seen at Obama's new world order - Washington Times
Quote:
The United States would lose control over its environmental policy. Also, it would sign its death warrant as a functioning democracy, enabling the United Nations to administer a fledgling world government possessing the authority to regulate and tax the American economy. The treaty is a sword aimed at the heart of our national sovereignty.
Next a quote from an extensive blog post about the coming conference which can be seen at Stealth cap & trade: Obama aiding UN take over the world?

Quote:
If it does create a government that wields the power to control the world’s economy, it will again be done without full transparency of the US citizens, and in the dark of night. While we tilt at windmills over health care and other sundry issues, the Senate will pass the climate change legislation, and lay the groundword for the US “leading” the way to int’l government…
Lastly, here's a quote by Lord Monckton in a video where he debunks the whole global warming theory. Lord Moncton was the former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher's science advisor. His video which is well worth watching in it's entirety (it's an hour and 35 minutes long) can be seen at Updated with video and Links: Monckton Speaks to Over 700 at Minnesota Free Market Institute Event « Minnesota Free Market Institute

Quote:
I read that treaty. And what it says is this, that a world government is going to be created. The word "government" actually appears as the first of three purposes of the new entity. The second purpose is the transfer of wealth from the countries of the West to third world countries, in satisfication of what is called, coyly, "climate debt" because we've been burning CO2 and they haven't. We've been screwing up the climate and they haven’t. And the third purpose of this new entity, this government, is enforcement.
Essentially the whole global warming scare is being used to foster in a new world government that will make decisions for us on what is best for the planet.

I never saw the connection between these boring sounding treaties and the bringing in of a one world government until today.

Biblical prophecy as I read and understand it seems to make it clear that a one world government will be a key player in the time prior to the return of Jesus Christ. If that is indeed the case there is nothing we can do to stop what has been biblically prophecied from happening. It is God's will that it be so.

But if we cannot stop what is about to happen in the near future, we can at least move forward with our eyes wide open, casting our cares upon the Lord who will continue to watch over those of us who are Christians as we enter into the perilous times that lie ahead of us.

UPDATE

It seems that we have been given a reprieve in that President Obama is unlikely to go to the Copenhagen conference to sign a treaty after all (see President Obama won’t talk climate change in Copenhagen - Times Online)

Why?

Because the U.S. political climate has made it difficult if not impossible to pass global warming cap and trade legislation in the U.S. Senate and because the treaty in Copenhagen is apparently not ready for signing.

Thank God!

His not going if indeed he does not end up going is NOT in any way connected with a desire to not sign the treaty and start down the path to one world government! It has everything to do with the treaty not being ready and the political climate in the U.S. not yet being ready to go down the path to world government intrusion into American affairs.

Without the Senate's support for cap and trade legislation in the U.S. such a treaty, even if signed by President Obama, would most likely not be ratified by the Senate and would not, by virtue of that lack of ratification, obligate the U.S. to abide by it.

The proponents of a world treaty to deal with the phantom menace of global warming (if warming is actually occurring) as being caused by human carbon emissions will not stop until they get such a treaty. They will continue to push for one until it becomes a reality.

What strikes me as rather incredible is the way that proponents of global warming, including President Obama, ridicule any notion that global warming as they see it is not true (see Obama hits out at climate 'naysayers')!

It belies a political agenda behind the global warming theory. An agenda that will not tolerate any diminishing of the theory since the theory allows the promotion of the agenda.

As for the science against the global warming theory just listen to the video link I posted above and you will get an earful.

The film made by Al Gore a number of years ago purporting to "prove" the theory of global warming to the masses is a joke. Full of dubious conclusions and unscientific "facts".

But as so often seems to happen in human affairs if you promote a lie long enough and loudly enough to enough people and through persons of renown....the masses begin to believe it. Like the story of the King who had no clothes the masses go around supporting an idea (in the case of the story that the King had a beautiful robe on when in fact he had no clothes on at all) because...well...everyone else does and not because it is in fact true.
