Megensmom you will do just fine like you say but do remember it is bitter cold up there several times a year. I do have property that is off the grid on the Kenai Peninsula so not quite as cold but we use it mainly for camping and getting away from the city. We did live at our property for 3 months had no kids then but two dogs, we had a great time but boy did those long hot showers feel good. Our property is 27 miles from Seward and between the highway and a lake now I can do that for some time knowing that it's just a hop skip and jump to a small town for shopping.

Won't have to worry about tornado's in Central but may have to dodge lighning.

We had a tornado warning in here in Abbeville County, South Carolina (and Greenwood County) from about 6:45pm till 7:30pm Tuesday night.

I was just about to sign the station off the air for the evening (at sunset) when I noticed a weather alert come through.

It was raining so heavily earlier, when I opened the back door and stood in the doorway, it was so noisy from the rain, Icould barely hear my friend on the other end of the phone.

Default Death of a good book

My milepost came today and it arrived damaged. The PO says it was damaged in a sorting machine but to me it looks like someones dog ate it. Anyway I called and they will send me another except there is a chance it won't get here before I leave. So they are giving me a credit back on my card. What bookstore can I buy them at? I went to Books-a-Million already and they dont have it.

You might find one at your local supermarket store or Walmart store. All big chain places should have them.

Hi,

I don't know where you ordered your original, but Amazon ships very quickly. For extra, there are two options for even quicker shipping. GOOD LUCK with everything! Deb

I am new to using Amazon but when I checked most of them say allow 4-14 days for delivery and that is really cutting it close. And some of them in the feedback said they didn't get their items for over 20 days. I was hoping to just buy it and have it in hand. I may check Ebay.

That's probably with sellers on there. That's more like ebay when you buy through sellers. But if it says "sold by amazon.com" it's through amazon itself, which tends to be quick and offers faster shipping if you pay the extra, assuming it's in stock of course...
