Lots of unusal weather everywhere, anymore. I bet it's that global warming that everybody keeps talking about alot lately.

Oh yeah, everybody's talking about it down here in the lower 48. It's on the news nearly everyday. I'm surprised you hadn't heard about it in Alaska, especially since y'all are having some fairly warm days this late in the year.

it was nearly that cold in Austin day before yesterday. It was down to a bone chilling 27 for a couple of hours Thursday morning. I had to cover up the cactus.

It was in the 20s yesterday, all the snow melted mid-week (southern peninsula).
Saw a few guys out golfing yesterday, no joke.

Golfers seem to be one of the most weather hardy folks I know. Everyone else runs inside when the rain, lightning, and wind are coming at you. They just keep on playing... So I don't think you were joking.

They are the reason carbon fiber umbrellas and golf clubs were made down here. That way they don't attract the lightning quite as much.
