In a time long ago it took many years to repave and widen Tudor Road and then they tore it up to redo the utilities. So it was pure hell driving it for a few years. That was in the late 70's. It has been redone a few times since then and it is still a zoo at 5:00pm

Lordy! I lived near the corner of Tudor and Lake Otis back then (mid 70's) & it was pretty horrid. I saved the bumper sticker - sure it's buried deep in some box around here lol!

Tudor road is a good barometer of Anchorage's economic health. If you can get through Lake Otis and Tudor in less than 3 cycles of the light, brace yourselves for hard times. At the worst of the last collapse you could blow right at 5:00 like it wasn't even there.

The last time I was on Tudor tells me Anchorage must be doing really well right now then.

The best oil related bumpersticker i saw was...

"Keep Alaskan oil for Alaskans. let the bastards down south freeze in the dark"

Scroll all the way down to the bottom and there is an interesting video called "How tumbling oil prices affect everything in Alaska." It's an hour long, but I know a couple of you will want to watch it. It's a pop-out type of a deal, so I can't link directly to it or I would.

Alaska's Budget - 360 North

It was filmed about a year ago and it's interesting to see the projections from the dept of revenue, et al on some of the slides. Well, the whole thing is interesting, but those projections made me shake my head.
