UNamerican, not 'an American.' I sent you a DM with more details which I really don't want to put in a post, but I think either CD ate it, or it got lost in etherspace. There is a difference between editing for clarity, and editing to twist someone's words to mean exactly the opposite of what was said. It's a shame that media hype and frenzy for a news soundbyte should so negatively impact anyone, let alone someone who has served his country.

Then they tried to say she acted out side of her authority in trying to fire the jerk (State Trooper) that was her ex-bother-in-law that tazered his step son (Palin's Nephew), and who was drinking in a patrol car, and illegally hunting moose when he was working for the fish and game division... The Troopers should have fired him for the first offense, all of which would have gotten any of us thrown in jail...

Had the Troopers done their job in house in the first place, it would have never been an issue.

Seems she is a pretty good Governor after all.... And will be a great VP!

Now aren't you so happy you waited to hear the real story after the investigation!.....
If I had an ex-brother in-law like Wooten, I'd be doing everything within my power to get the bum fired as well. Abusing her power? Using her office to try to get a sweethart Real-estate deal or some special perks for a personal business would be an abuse of power. In my book, trying to get that scum-bag fired was only behaving like a normal family member.

A normal family member would have alerted the authorities at the time of the tasing. Palin herself wasn't there, but her daughter was. So was the boy's mother. Normal families don't stand by while a kid is tased and do or say nothing, sorry.

Neither were you. Glad to here you are omniscient enough to second guess the actions of others.

There is nothing to second guess. The kid was tased and no mention of it was made to the authorities until Chuck Heath did so himself (on the day that his daughter filed for divorce). To give him the benefit of the doubt, he probably didn't know about it. But at least two other people besides Wooten did know about it, and they did nothing.

Yes, and that's quite a relief.

That's right, the price of heating fuel has dropped around $3.40 in Fairbanks, so the energy rebate of $1,200 she and the legislature approved for every Alaskan has been handy.

Are you kidding Met? The alternative is a disaster!

Actually I know you aren't kidding. But I think we will all find out that Obama will be a huge mistake should he actually win this election.
