There is a difference between editing for clarity, and editing to twist someone's words to mean exactly the opposite of what was said. A normal family member would have alerted the authorities at the time of the tasing. Palin herself wasn't there, but her daughter was. So was the boy's mother. Normal families don't stand by while a kid is tased and do or say nothing, sorry.

There is nothing to second guess. The kid was tased and no mention of it was made to the authorities until Chuck Heath did so himself (on the day that his daughter filed for divorce). To give him the benefit of the doubt, he probably didn't know about it. But at least two other people besides Wooten did know about it, and they did nothing.
