hehe - no skateboarding, just a 540 degree donut on the ice in my poor Chevy Cavalier. I'm so not coordinated enough to skateboard, heck I can't even ride a bike with my crappy balance LOL!

I would much rather have the grit/gravel they put down than the crappy salt they lay down in MI.

Eh, the salt melts the ice and won't crack your windshield. I'll take salt any day of the week.

We had a lot of accidents on Friday. Apparently no one here can drive in the rain.

Grit doesn't rust your truck in a matter of 2/3 years

A good rain after a long time with out rain can mean problem also. Lots of grease and oil on the roads.

Modern materials and rustproofing has drastically reduced rust issues as a major concern of vehicle owners. I don't plan on keeping my car/truck more than 10 years anyway. The odds of it rusting away in that period of time are pretty much nil with contemporary products.

But, everyone is entitled to their own opinions of course.
