The prices vary on the snowmachines, you can buy a used one on craigslist in Anchorage and ship one out here, new ones run from $6grand-10,000!
You really have only one choice on local internet, GCI Cable modems or Unicom DSL. GCI bought out Unicom though. I don't know about the DSL internet, I have cable.
Yes, the teen center has a weight room available for the public and showers for a price. The city has implemented a 1% sales tax increase to build a community rec center in the future. I'll believe when I see it!

AgeOf.....Good luck! Keep us posted as to your progress with your decision! I was going to post that they're "snowmachines", but I see you got the memo...I keep getting hung up on that one myself!
I also keep calling the highway through Anchorage "highway 1" which gets me some darn funny looks! I've been told no one calls roads by their route numbers. If you say you went from one town to another everyone knows which road you took because there's likely only one
. So to say I took Highway 1 to Wasilla, is in fact, ridiculously redundant.
