LOL...I was making a point (as poor as it was) about how we in the lower 48 are as or more screwed up. I got the "sex" idea from another post but it really doesn't take much to get me in that direction.

What about rural/upstate New York?

People sometimes make the mistake in thinking that those numbers apply to the entire state of Alaska; they don't. Anyone expecting a surplus of men in Anchorage or Juneau, for instance, is in for a surprise.

Also, I believe those numbers also factor in the large military presence here.

What cracks me up is the nuances of notions of romance. Like the moose sausage. "Me Tarzan, you Jane! Tarzan bring Jane moose sausage, moose hoof and moose dung for moose poltice....." Just teasing.

Actually, it could be said here in Texas, too. The oddballs are the clueless but often untold sweet ones, it would seem. Like my friend. Her husband constantly tries and keeps trying to tell a funny joke. We always laugh, but we snicker aside at his continued effort, not to make fun, but that he never gives up. IT'S THE LITTLE BOY INSIDE HIM that makes us laugh mirthfully. My brother would do anything, allow him to be a fool for a madam with a three-legged stool, or laughed at by his friends, just to make us or others laugh. He was the class clown, and was the master at it. It's like their testosterone won't let them off the edge of trying.
