I'll be tree hunting come Saturday. I'll be here all alone...but I still want a tree. And I'll be stringing some lights on the house this weekend also. So give me a couple days.
My wife wanted an ivory enamel stove, and I obeyed Just kidding! She said, "maybe an ivory-color stove would match the rug and walls better than a black stove," and I agreed with her. It's a Jotul 500F, and quite heavy (cast iron with a fire-brick wall in the firebox).

Got the lights hung on the house this morning, then retrieved a tree and got it up. I've put lights on it...but I'll do the rest in the morning during football. You can see the tree in the window. I like the glow on the snow from those ceramic lights.

With a 6 point star filter on my 70x300mm (because I no longer have an 18x70mm)

I had to take it down in my re-arrangement of the living room, in regards to that tree! Which meant vaccuming, shuffling couches, digging through closets looking for the "box". That tree put up a dang good fight right up to getting it in the door.

I usually choose a charley brown tree, as I use real ones. This year I found a very nice twin trunk!
A single trunk at the base...but immediately turns into two trees.

We have two trees, sort of, they're fake. I gave up on real trees years ago.
The wood stove we do use, just not now, though I think I'll take the stuff off on Xmas so it can be fired up.

And...
Jan's Flamingo Tree

Yes those are real river rocks. The front of my garage (48' long) is covered as well. I bought the rock up near Wasilla. 50 bucks a truck load for all you dare drive off with. I think I made 8 loads in all. And the plants in the window...yup...all surviving leftovers. Left to right, swedish apple tree, alovera, christmas cactus, white grape (which you can't see in the photo's), hanging down from the top is an ivy that is pushing 20' long.
