Weather permitting, the moon should be out in full form tonight.

SPACE.com -- Full Moon Friday: What You Can See

Gonna Fire up the BBQ, and have dinner outside with the misses.

Quote from article:
"The Moon's orbit is not a perfect circle, and Friday night's full moon will coincide with the moon's perigee – it's closest point to Earth. So this will be the biggest full moon of 2010."

Watched it last night - It was beautiful. Mars was beaming brightly also. Cheating though in Hawaii now not fighting the clouds!

Apparently this moon is called a Wolf Moon, the largest full moon of the year. It was rising from behind the mountains across Wasilla Lake as i left work this evening, drove right into rush hour so no chance to take a photo but it was amazing.

Default moon

another shot

won't let me upload.

In Hawaii the calendar went according to the moon. I am no expert and not going to try to translanst. But every day( night) was judged by the moon. Every day of the moon moon movement was called something other than our days. So each day (night) of the moon movement was another day. Each week transistion was a differnt week of a god (although they are mortaail gods) really hard to discribe. Each night counted on the calender not days, based on the moon.

The Gods were people who first came to Hawaii, vrs canoe were people but people from a God. So they gave lineage off of the orginally people here on islands from Somoa or south - New Zealand. Each god is named after the first coming here as humans but believe they came from God family's. The Hawaiian chant is amazing to listen to it goes all the way back to "Big Bang" Theory and evaulation of how all are connected to bacteria to sea life.

It would be interesting to hear about how Alaska theorys of creation story is - I didn't find it on that ...
And sorry for taking over a OP post
Just tryint to send shots of the moon and got distracted...
Enojoy the Wolf moon everyone!
