Absolutely! We've made our bedroom into an electronics-free zone. Even the alarm clock is battery operated and not electrical. The decor includes a soft-colors painting, a conch shell, a brass candle holder with candle and pale salmon walls with the area below chair rail painted a warm cream...I picked up the colors from the conch shell, and find them soothing. The carpet is oatmeal-colored.
I love our bedroom. It's an oasis. Unfortunately, despite the calm environment, my overactive mind sometimes persists in keeping me awake. But the tea/melatonin seems to be my magic formula for good sleep.
Trial and error--I think each of us needs to experiment until we hit upon what works for us.. .seems we're as unique as our fingerprints.
