You offer YOUR OPINION as you flitter about enjoying the benefits of a more liberalized society.

Indeed one of the things that I noticed is that third world students who studied in communist nations end up more ruthlessly capitalistic than those who go to more moderate capitalist countries like the UK, and Canada. Why? Because they saw the inefficiency and oppressive nature of those communist nations. They also realized that Animal Farm is true when applied to how those societies functioned.
They weren't communist nations. And Animal Farm was written by George Orwell, a socialist who participated in the Spanish Civil War and was inspired by the socialist Catalonians who were unfortunately suppressed by Soviet backed factions. 1984 and Animal Farm were about authoritarian more capitalistic states deceiving their populace with pseudo-socialist rhetoric, y'know like those states you mentioned whose propaganda you're going with.

You know its easy to promote communism, and then scream that no country is communist.
How do you know that its workable when you can cite no examples about where it has worked.

First of all I'm hardly promoting Communism I'm just pointing out what Communism is.

Second of all I provided you with examples of communistic societies many of which were around prior to Communism's emergence as a political movement but weren't technically "Communism" because when they came about "Communism" wasn't really a word yet. There are also many contemporary societies that do call themselves communist none of them have reached country form and really don't have to to be working examples.

Default What crap

Socialism didn't ruin Cuba.
The series of economic embargoes is what have hurt Cuba.

It doesn't matter what system a country has.
It's all about the redistribution of wealth.

Some of the world's wealthiest countries with the highest standards of living are northern European Socialist Countries.

Ronald Reagan's "trickle down" started the greatest redistribution of wealth in the history of the United States. Currently, if you earn over $50,000 dollars a year, you pay:
Quote:
$247.47 a year to the Defense Budget
$3.98 a year for natural disaster relief (FEMA)
$22.88 a year for unemployment
$36.82 a year for SNAP (Food Stamps)
$ 6.96 for Welfare
$43.78 a year for retirement and disability to government workers (civilian & military)
$ 235.81 for Medicare
$ 4,000 a year for CORPORATE SUBSIDIES
Don't believe the propaganda they're feeding you.
Congress is full of millionaires. The Milk industry? The Farm Bills??
THAT'S THE LANDED GENTRY and you're the same serfs paying them that the enslaved Brits paid during the Norman Conquest. Same people... same game... same tactics.

The Cubans in Florida who constantly complain about the evils of Castro and the Cuban revolution are those who were at the top of the food chain ripping the population off so badly that the masses eventually rose up and over-threw them. Same with Venezuela ... and the same everywhere.

"Ruined the country"?
For who?
The millions who continued to vote for Hugo Chavez or the fat spoiled rich upset that the system was no longer tilted in their favor?

The world is in deep pain from the effects of centuries of "Generational Trauma" and "Toxic Shame."
The elite Social Engineers know how to cause the "Designed Frustration and Designed Anger" that pits poor and middle class people against each other while keeping them in power.

Addictions, poor health, early death, mental illness, and even criminality is rooted in "Toxic Shame."
(So is bullying and all these recent school shootings.)

National Public Radio did a story that cited the national scores for empathy within the United States has gone down 80% since 1980 and the national test scores for Narcissism has gone UP 80% in that same time period.... yet no one wants to even begin talking about how Christianity (and Islam and Judaism) interprets the spiritual consciousness process that allows individuals within cultures healthy, nurturing, and productive Vs. self-destructive and vindictively malicious to each other.

Those at the top of Communist, Socialist, Democratic, and Feudalistic governments all do the same things to remain in power. It's all about the money.

For me, it's not about the system a country has ... we all have to have some kind of government... no, for me it's about how much people inside that country allow the greedy, dysfunctional, filthy rich to rip them off the product of their labor and emotionally enslave them. Remember Space Travelers ... people like Bill Gates and the top 1% of the world's riches feel that over population is the Number One problem (for them) in the world today.

Don't believe such hype. It's not in your best interests.
The United States isn't even a Democracy anymore. It's not even a Republic. Scholars at M.I.T. clearly show that the U.S. is a "Polyarchy" that gives it's citizens a choice of which ruling elite will be a figure head that supposedly speaks for them, while Investment Bankers at the highest levels use your money for prostitutes and cocaine. Look it up. Google it. It's all there.

Is France,Russia,finland,Canada,Australia near the US,none of these countries come close to the US on most issues of development,just like Cuba.

Cuba has performed very well on health,education,all that under a 50 years embargo,so you have to admit they are doing extremely well,under these circumstances.

Can Finland,France or Chine do better under a 50 years embargo ? i doubt it.
