Afro-Brazilian culture is seen as unique and interesting. The southern part of Brazil is similar to other European places, so it doesn’t stand out. The U.S. and Canada is filled with places that are like Europe. The are no places in the U.S. that are like the tropical parts of Brazil.

Those were two very British productions about Brazil. Do you think all people who speak English are American?

Those communities are tiny compared to tropical Brazil.

Look at this case of racism that commoved Brazil last month.

https://www.web24.news/u/2020/08/del...isters-bo.html

I guess the guy who suffred racism pass for white in most of Latin America even in Europe or USA he is not considered black african but at most mixed, but here in Brazil people like him could suffer racism so i think this idea of that ''50% of Brazil is black african'' is an idea created in the past here by the white brazilians racists (one drop rule mindset) and exported abroad. It is not really a fault from the foreigner.

American media (Hollywood and not only) is certainly very racist and has been promoting racial and national stereotypes since for ever. It has gotten slightly less worse in the last few years though.

None of those places resemble Brazil at all. New Orleans at best has very few similarities with Brazil.

Didn’t read any of this thread, haven’t noticed anything American media has said about Brazilians, but I do know from Youtube that some of the hottest women on the planet reside in that country.
But why does anyone pay any attention to what the media whores say anyway?

The OP and a few others just seem to be begging for attention.
