There is more and more news on a crisis unfolding in Haiti. But frankly, I know next to nothing about Haiti.
There was a short video with angry Haitians swinging Russian flags and protesting against an American invasion. Haitians seem to hate Americans for historical reasons.

Haiti is said to have a big crime problem, more or less a failed state, not unlike parts of Mexico.
Then again, it is their country and nobody should interfere against the will of the people.

The gangs that have sprung up recently need to all be eliminated with no mercy. There is no other option. Declare anyone that joins those gangs or similar ones to be commiting treason against Haiti and then deal with the consequences of being a traitor. They are Haiti's biggest and most serious problem at the moment, going as far as challenging the legitimate authorities.

The Haitian state has also shown that it's incapable of putting these gangs in their place due to its weakness, so it needs the intervention from foreign powers to rid Haiti of those criminals and losers. It's up to the Haitian government to decide which foreign powers would be allowed in the intervention and always in collaboration with the Haitian state, any country can't just decide on its own to invade.

Once the gangs are eliminated, the extremely weak Haitian army needs to be strengthen amd adequately equipped. One of their goals should be detecting new gang cells wherever they sprung up in Haiti and quickly squash them. A few of these cases and the message will be clear, you start a gang in Haiti and Haiti will find you and kill you, end of story.

There are stories coming out of Haiti of what these gangs are doing that is simply unacceptable.

From an official celebration to the memory of the founder of the country which was interrupted by the gang headed by Barbecue. Don't think he simply crashed the event like uninvited guests that appear in a wedding. All the government officials had to run for their lives because Barbecue and his group arrived and quickly began to fire machine guns in the air to clear the place of the legitimate authorities and its representations. Once they abandoned the place in a hurry, Barbecue and his men moved in to place his own honors to the founder of the country, like if Haiti is ruled by him and not the Haitian government.

All the way to horrors of gangs kidnapping people and they rape the women and girls repeatedly until the ransom is paid.

The gangs need to go!

Haiti is a lost cause, IMO. Clear out the gangs and new ones will pop up to replace them. Until and unless Haiti finds some major source of wealth to sustain and grow its economy and population, I fear things will never change.

They know that they need help. Yet, it is their country, so they should decide who will help them and who won't. Haitians are strongly against Americans and Canadians in their country. So the UN should set up some international task force, or Russia and China should do it, Russia in particular is popular among Haitians.

All the natural disasters don't help, either. They are barely finished recovering from one disaster and bang, here comes the next.
