This hasn't happened since I moved here. In fact, it's one of the reasons I moved here. When I visited, during Monsoon season, my allergies were calm.

Just curious as I haven't been overly affected the rest of the year.

Allergies can happen anytime, any place, anywhere when least expected. When you move to a new location new symptoms pop up.

Try some local honey, sometimes that helps.

Something specific might be blooming after the last rainstorm that is aggravating you. Palo verdes get me for the few weeks they bloom, then I'm fine the rest of the year. Also make sure it isn't something in the house vs outside of the house.

Gingercoyote is right, get some local honey and take a teaspoon every few days. It really helps.

Thanks. I'll check at the farmers market next Thursday for local honey. The newspaper did an article on the market & local honey was mentioned.

It actually is better today. Whatever is causing it has lessoned. Have no idea what it could be.

The "local honey" thing is an old wives' tale. There's next to nothing in the medical literature which supports it. It's no better than a placebo effect, or [god forbid] "homeopathy".

Here's a few of the many articles debunking "local honey":

Staying hydrated?

I’ve added a vitamin c pill to my Zyrtec. Can’t complain and allergies are the #1 reason I moved here

So, from what you're describing here...

I am no longer to approach the local Honey Lady who is usually over by the local Honey Tree anymore?

Of course we all know everything we read on the internet is true, right?

No sense paying attention to tried & true methods that have existed for generations.

When what "we read on the internet" cite actual medical studies, then yes, it's true.

Old wives' tales... not so much.
