I prefer to vote for the person, not the party, and I too have been sickened by all the hateful political ads running out here, and, until today, was actually considering voting for sinema; then, I saw her interview on Fox news this am, and once she started going on about how believable Fords testimony was, after they had to ask her 3 times how she would have voted if she were a senator, and how Judge Cavahnah was probably lying... that killed that entire idea I had of voting for her..I wish McSally would stop the attack/hate ads, but Sinema is obviously deep down inside still on the far left, so she's not for me..

The way they raked Kavanaugh over the coals was disgusting. Also, the Democrat party has taken a sharp leftward turn in the last few years on so many issues, and a good share of them actually support socialism. In all reality, I don't care much for either party. Republicans definitely have their issues as well, but at least they have their heads straight about most issues related to taxing, spending, and illegal immigration.

One thing that really makes me sick about a lot of these political ads is when they say "our children". It's used as a ploy by both sides to sway voters, but it's a huge turn off for me. Not everybody has children, and those who don't certainly shouldn't be responsible to cater to those who do. McSally is using the "our children" nonsense in some of her ads, and it's really making me less enthusiastic to vote for her ... however, since there's no Libertarian running in this race, I'll be forced to choose the lesser of the evils.

How easily swayed! Those that feel that the SCOTUS would be better served by someone with a more level temperament and one that hasn't had testimony of rape against them aren't necessarily "on the far left".

Remember, Ford's life has been turned upside down and she had nothing to gain out of this other than doing what she thought was her civic duty. To so easily dismiss her claim is shameful, and to pull support from a candidate that you were supporting only because she believed a woman who claimed to be raped, is shortsighted at best. I can't imagine anyone changing their vote because of one single opinion.

It was alot more than not believing someone who suddenly, after 36 years, "remembered" something that allegedly happened..Its obvious the dems were prepared to do anything short of dropping a nuke on the senate hearings to keep him from being confirmed; Even my wife, a victim of sexual assault, and several other female friends of mine, said they thought Ford was lying, so I know its not only men who feel that way..

And, for all you Dem supporters, you should be more concerned about Ruth Ginsberg, who supposedly has pancreatic cancer, and would be another vacancy that Trump can fill with a Conservative Judge..

Default I changed my mind

As I said in a post earlier in this thread (before the Kavanaugh hearing) I was going to sit this one out. I'm not a fan of either establishment political party. As I said in my previous post "Same old -same old There is no difference between the parties" . But there is a difference and I see it clearly now.

I changed my mind also. I'm voting for McSally and I did something I've only done once before in my life. I actually donated to a political campaign. She wasn't my first choice but now she is the ONLY choice for any rational thinking adult. The Kavanaugh debacle was the turning factor. I watched nearly every YouTube video and read commentary on both sides of this issue. I listened to Sen. Collins speech twice and even checked the background materiel in some areas.but in the end this was the LAST STRAW. The whole thing was frightening.

I’m voting for Sinema because she would stand up to our dictator and demand a more fit candidate. Maybe we should both sit this one out.

Lets see 6, I mean 7 FBI investigations in his career, NOT A SINGLE QUESTION EVER raised about his character, and then the dems pop this nonsense out for the world to see????

I guess the old adage of "never let the truth get in the way of a good story" is the Dem's new mantra..
Shameful...

Dr. Ford is not “the dems”. Not everything is some wild conspiracy. Breitbart has made people paranoid. And thank you for illustrating why women tend not to come forward unless absolutely critical.

This whole affair was payback for the Reps denying a hearing for Merrick Garland. Trump could have nominated Mother Theresa (if she were alive) and the Dems would oppose her. Kavanaugh survived 7 FBI investigations. Both sides are playing hard ball but this affair was a new low. I think Ford was horribly used and thrown under the bus after she served her purpose.

Can you explain why ALL of her ( not Kavanaugh's) supporting witnesses deny knowledge of the incident? Are they all lying? Not one other person can recall being at this party or even met Kavanaugh. What do you base your reasoning on? It certainly can't be the supporting facts. There are none.

Civil discourse hardly exists any longer. At least we are talking. I would agree with you that women did not come out in any great numbers in the past but they will certainly report the incident immediately or shortly thereafter in the future. There will be a lot of books and thesis written and sold regarding this incident. We will know much more about Ford's motivation quite soon.
As an afterthought, I often wondered why people enter the field of psychology. I had to take it in college and thought it was pseudo-science. Glad I settled on Physics and Engineering. Much easier to model than the human brain IMO.
Sorry for wandering off topic. It's my last word on the subject. Thread will probably be closed now.

McSalad is a chameleon. When first starting to run she was a trump hater, despised what he does and stands for, then turns around and now supports him and all his fallacies. Two faced liar, an unreliable woman.
