Does anybody believe that facial masks are the next underwear according to a new normal?

I really hope we won't be wearing masks forever. Well, I'm not wearing one, end of story.

Spanish Flu epidemic ended. Just in case you weren't aware.

I know they mandated mask wearing too at that time. Maybe a mask won't be the new underwear. But I'm only wearing under my nose.

The exposed nose look would go well with a certified silly walk from the Ministry of Silly Walks.

Remember the temporary requirement to remove shoes while boarding a plane?

Yeah, that was 19 years ago, no shoebombers, no change to the requirement.

Government does not give back the liberty you cede to them.

Read the news. Every city except maybe Prescott or Snowflake.

There is not just "government." It is true Federal laws rarely end like the Patriot Act. But you have to realize these federal laws do not just happen. They just wait for the opportunity to spring them on us when are the most open to it. So 9/11 was the perfect excuse for massive federal surveillance and control of our citizens. They have no intention of ending these federal laws even if they say they are temporary. That is why its better for the feds to have much less control and the states have more control.

These are local cities and counties. You can't compare this to the feds. They actually have to be more responsive to residents here. When they tried the red light and speeding cameras in Arizona people did not like it. So the local government was forced to end them.

There is zero rationale to have masks be a requirement forever. For me I had a much bigger issue with the shutdowns. They hurt people, hurt businesses and telling people they were suppose to be off the streets as much as possible was unconstitutional. Many states went way overboard on that and still had huge outbreaks with the virus.

Masks are a nothing burger. We have gone through stay at home orders, business shutdowns, curfews. All which are much worse then simply wearing a mask when you are out and about.

We had our first 1,000 case day on 6/2. We had our first 2,000 new case day on 6/16 and now on 6/19 we passed 3,000 cases with 3,246 today. Hospitals are filling up, ventilators are getting closer to capacity and more people are dying. We had 46 deaths today. Previously the highest single day was 26 back in early May. Almost double. Bases on the fact that we have 15 times the cases that we did in April we will have hundreds of people dying every day within a couple weeks.

Yet, its the government that is the concern for some.

Everything will change forever, and there will never be a vaccine. I'm so sad, I just wanna cry.

I hate the new mask mandates coming to our Republican State.
Why do you say there will be no vaccine?

I guess if your relative says so it must be true.
