Obviously, there's a lot of East Asian who doesn't want to assimilate to Southeast Asians specially us who are in Island Southeast Asia which we are totally different with the East Asians. Culture wise we are also different so it's better not to assimilate.

Yeah I don't know why they had to group Philippines together with Oriental countries . Of course non Asians like Peter would really insist we do not belong to the category of the yellow skin race because we are brown and we do not really look like any of them + we don't have the same culture and religion.
There should be another category for Philippines that way we wouldn't really look like trying so hard to claim being on their category.

A lot of them do not want to associate with Southeast Asian.
There are even Southeast Asian that look like her why you have to associate it with East Asian. Some of them do not even treat us nicely, So what can you say about the incident happened in West Philippine Sea regarding 1 taiwanese fishermen that was shot by our fellow kababayan by self-defence. Taiwan demanded for apology and our government did apologized but then they still lifted a ban for OFW's there or even wanted to send all OFW's from Taiwan without even investigating first and isn't that fair judgement?
Not that different. Average face for Filipino doesn't look much different to China, Japan.etc.
So if you are not an average Filipino ? You will still be categorized as mongoloid ?
