Exactly, Yanagisawa is right. This is just like the post against china for eating dogs, which is seen as barbaric until you live in a country where not eating other living things aren't the norm, then you can't talk at all. When you eat an orange you might be hurting these poor fruit. How barbaric of you to peel the skin o the orange then eat it.
Not even giving it the quick painless death of cutting it in half. Look at all the eternal juices coming out of the orange, you monster.
You then say we can eat cows because it is part of human culture yet you say they can't eat dolphins because it is part of their culture? /what about certain Indian groups were a cow is their sacred animal, do they go start posting and calling the U.S blasphemous for their poor treatment of cows?

When Dolphins build a city or put a fish on the moon then I will oppose hunting them. Yanagisawa is correct.

I fail to see how the intelligence of an animals has anything to do with whether it can be killed or not.

Are you saying if human start to grow dolphins for food, then it will be reasonable to kill them? There is some level of hypocrisy here. If all humans are equal, why shouldn't all animals be equal?

Maybe killing and eating dolphins is a Japanese tradition. Do Hindus get to criticize Americans for killing cows?

Don't force your culture upon other nations.

realized I posted exactly the same thing.
Americans tend to think their culture is culture (including killing animals), others killing other animals which they love and don't kill is barbaric.

So, certain culture eat human flesh. Let's find a few of them and send them to your house so that they can practice their culture. I hope you won't mind. Ridiculous.

You have not answered my question. Why does intelligence matter?

If you were proved to be less intelligent than dolphins, you should be killed and eaten by those people?

This is getting to be a ridiculous discussion. You know full well that clubbing dolphins is different from slaughtering cows. Yes, perhaps once the japanese can grow dolphins in pens and mass produce them, things might change slowly. But until then, the tradition is grotesque and barbaric.

As for intelligence, sure if you don't think it matters, then you should have no problem with cannibals boiling your family members alive for their traditional feast.

Animals exist to serve man. Equating cannibalism to harvesting a large fish is foolish.

Wow, dolphins are "large fish"? So I guess that's the educational level of those who like this sort of barbaric slaughter.....
