You said more than brt and railway before, how inconsistent.
Why would i read bunch of nonsense? People do ride angkot and metromini, especially the working class. Railway serves mostly people who lived in bodetabek metropolitan area who come to Jakarta to work.
Cars are symbol of wealth and prestige here, which I believe isn't that different from other countries. Just look at most of Middle East and Americas. Most countries who don't favor cars are European countries, thanks to ridiculous parking prices, taxation etc. And that medieval alleyway making life difficult in old town centers.
Okay I may have blew it off but I actually meant rail and bus daily ridership for both metros as we have already discussed before so many times. Rail to rail, bus to bus ridership count.
If you don't want to backread to understand more our discussion then simple don't butt in and comment as if you knew what we were discussing.
Third paragraph is off the topic. Kindly have the sense of what we are taking about here. If you don't want to read then back off. If you want to discuss things with us then read read read or else pick a fresh topic of contention or discussion. Have a good day!

Day by day, number of Angkot keeps declining. There are still people using it of course, it's just way harder to find enough passengers to keep them running now.
I don't know where you live, in my office in West Jakarta almost no one takes angkot. They choose raid hailing service like Gojek or Grab, as cheap for short distance and much faster, esp during rush hour. Those angkots usually just stop for a while, then go with only few passengers.

Oh yes LRT(LRT1&2) can serve 760k, add 650k with the MRT plus 100k for PNR that's well above 1.5 million ridership more than railway system ridership in Jakarta.
AFAIK, the capacity of MRT3 is only 350k? That number is almost double.
Which one currently has more rapid transit under construction (not just planned)? Let's say you have all the rapid transit currently open and under construction built, when would that be and how do the two compare?

The highest record shows 650k, the 350k maybe the lamest daily ridership because I don't think it would go fewer than LRT1s 500k as MRT3 seems to be busier when you ride in person.

You are right, it's just that Metro Manila has more than Jakarta.
Lol u r clearly posting unreliable and misleading informations.
Also why is it so hard to swallow the fact that metro manila don't have more Skyscrapers aka:150m+ buildings.
So that comes out to 540 skyscrapers for Manila. But this is a fair comparison because Metro Manila and Jakarta are both the National Capital Region/ Special Capital Region and include several different cities. Metro Manila and Jakarta also have around the same land area. But in Jakarta, for some reason North Jakarta, South Jakarta etc arent listed on skyscraper sites as different cities. Thats why it’s much easier to find the info all in one place.
Whether Jakarta or Manila have more skyscrapers is kinda irrelevant because its what the cities do with the skyscrapers that matters more. In Jakarta, the skyscrapers are stretched out along highways (like in Dubai). In Manila, the skyscrapers are in concentrated, walkable clusters that make the areas feel like real cities.

Currently under-construction in Manila:
MRT7 (23 km)- opening up next year
Makati subway (11 km)- opening in 2025
Metro Manila subway (36 km)- full opening in 2025, with partial opening in 2022
PNR Tutuban-Malolos line (38 km)- opening 2021
LRT 2 is getting a 4 km extension, supposed to be complete later this year
LRT 1 is getting an 12 km extension, but construction wont start til May. It's supposed to be complete by the end of 2021

100m probably yes, but not 150m
The other source listed countries with 150m+ towers. And most developing Asian countries had them concentrated in its largest city.
Also, on the link the other poster provided it only showed 150m for Indonesia and Philippines. It did not mention the cities. And those numbers include proposed and underconstruction. So how's that? http://www.skyscrapercenter.com/countries
Even Emporis lists Metro Manila 150m at 172 versus Jakartas 149. Take note these are only completed buildings unlike the other posters link which included proposal, underconstructions and what-not.
How can that be called misleading information? It's hard to swallow because it isn't true at all.
