That also does not address the question I asked. I said that things don't have to be "either/or". There's nothing wrong with prioritizing multiple things that one thinks are important.

I'm not sure that they can be ranked. I think wisdom is needed to decide what is reasonable, and I think both are needed to determine what deserves compassion.

But both wisdom and compassion need reason. Think about it! Reason precedes any conclusion about either of them or their need.

thats like asking; the heart or the brain. Before we could put in a heart that is ...

Its been said before, My vote is I think compassion and logic are needed. Having to much of either is problematic. I guess if one had to be off, a little too much compassion seems to lead to less suffering.
