How are the roads up there? Johns Creek, Sandy Springs, Milton, Roswell, Alpharetta? I know school has been out for the last four days and I know the FCBOE takes in consideration the road conditions for both North and South Fulton.

How have the new cities handled or not handled the local roads?

Channel 11 has been running a county by county list of closed/problem roads at the bottom of the screen.

Over all they good, some ice in places, but clear, residential, are still in need of work, but they are passable. Sun today is slowly clearing them

People are still crawling down New Providence Rd in Milton. A neighbor told me she made it over to Hardscrabbble and 92 (Target) and the roads were ok , but slushy. This morning Providence Rd was blocked when cars couldn't get up the incline just past Summit Hill.

Everything is currently melted enough to plow, but the trucks aren't out, so I'm sure tonight the roads will freeze into ice again.

Fulton has already announced schools will not open tomorrow.

You are kidding right? I can't take my kids at home another day. They are eating me out of house and home.

My roads (a hilly subdivision in North Fulton close to Cherokee border) are totally dry-let the kids walk to school or at least to the nearest major road.

*note to self- a case of wine is not too much when snow is in the forecast. Forget about the milk and bread.......

Yeah, we bypassed Kroger and went right to Total Wine last weekend. Of course, then half the neighborhood ended up at an impromptu sledding party here, and we drank a good deal of that while standing around our fire pit.

But, seriously, Fulton has announced closure tomorrow. Are the schools closed Monday too for MLK day?

Maybe if they helped take care of S. Fulton's streets a little better, maybe ALL of Fulton could open back up. Ice on all the main roads around my neighborhood down here near Camp Creek.

I'm not sure who is doing the road test for the FCBOE. I've run into some ice down south but not that much. If anything the kids can walk to the entrance of the subdivision or complex to catch the bus.
