It snowed at Georgia Tech yesterday (I saw the snowflakes from my office). Of course no accumulation, but it lasted a good 4-5 minutes.

It is easy to forget--sweltering temps in June, late August and September--interspersed with periods of rain.

2 weeks ago there were tornadoes --so this completes the kaliedoscope of weather in Atlanta.

Usually it will snow with icing overnight and people will drive to work and get in wrecks to have the snow and ice melt by noon. Not to also mention the run on grocery stores. One other thing about the winter is when a cold snap hits the homeless problem basically gets solved. They call people in from the cold and find a place for them.

After living in DC I dont even blink when it snows here anymore. It rarely lasts for longer than a dayand its only a couple of inches. When you get a foot and you still have to go to work now THATS when I start to think about it.
