yeah, from what the Jamestown rep said during a tour I took they had to make a decision several months back and the comps didn't support what they needed to get out of the property and now they had filed all the paperwork and it was too late to change for now. They also mentioned they faced that hurdle with White Provisions with neighborhood comps being low and hard to get the value they needed to make the project work.

Anyone looking in this area, we are about to list probably the single nicest 1bd/1ba in the area. It is literally the closest condo building to PCM (660 Glen Iris - Glen Iris Lofts). PM if you want more details. It has a 400sq ft balcony!

Pcm is trying to get an REI.

"We've heard that you want an outdoors store at Ponce City Market.* And we hear you!* Help us tell REI that our neighborhood would support a new location along the Eastside Trail at PCM."

Interesting strategy. Talking in private doesn't work so you ask for public comments and support - I would think they would have asked publicly for comments/support on an outdoor store to use as selling points to different brands, not just REI.

Seems like it might work better at Lenox where there is transit. I love PCM but it is not the easiest place to get to.

I would think the opposite. The demo around PCM seems more like REI customers to me then Buckhead. Don't see much of the rugged outdoor look at Lenox.

Right on the Beltline makes it easy to get to from the area today. Once light rail is built, it will be connected to transit.

Au contraire. Seems to me the only drawback to Lenox would be all the competition. Buckhead's already got Dick's, North Face, Patagonia, Orvis, Sports Authority, etc., etc. The place is crawling with outdoorsy types.

When is that coming, however?
