This new $12 billion airport will be the biggest in the world — take a look inside (CNBC/MSN)
That is just amazing, I went to Turkey in 2016, and know that the city and the old airport had a bombing. Safety is the only thing I see, that may prevent them from reaching that goal. I have friends in Turkey, and hate to see tourism drops when bombings occur. I also heard horrendous stories about the number of death that occurred to build this airport.

Great Job Delta.

"Delta recorded operating revenues of $10.47 billion, which beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $10.38 billion. Moreover, it compared favourably with the year-ago number.
Key Stats to Note: The airline behemoth witnessed a 0.6% rise in consolidated passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM: a key measure of unit revenue) in the quarter."

Hmm. Someone with time on their hands should pull up the 10-Q to see why revenues rose. Lower OpEx? Higher ticket prices?

Jetblue has announced service from JFK and BOS to London. This will be good--even one-stop fares into Europe are punishingly high out of ATL. Hopefully that plus TAP will lead to much more competitive flights to Europe and foster more competition out of Atlanta.

There was speculation they would eventually add L.A. & Tampa, and beef up their schedules to Orlando and Ft. Lauderdale when they returned here. So far there hasn't been any movement on that.

We've taken them to Boston twice, and all of the flights were full. I like them, and really wish them success here. They're in sort of a transitional change right now with a lot of labor issues, it will be interesting to see how it all works out.

Concourse T adds five gates: I’m sure American and United Airlines probably get most of them.

Yep, it's all for American and United. This will allow them both to consolidate their flights and finally leave Concourse D, ending their split operations between T and D. It's long overdue.

Most of their passengers originate elsewhere, and this is a big vote of confidence with ATL by both. I'm sure you already know United recently rebuilt and expanded their Club on T.

And make more gate space for Delta and LCC's in the south half of D.
