Could you link to your original post? I would like to see what those substantial benefits are. Most every study I have found states that most new venues at best have no impact on the local economy, so I am curious what you have uncovered.

Yeah they expect to lay the foundation within the next month. I like the new renderings they released a couple of weeks ago. I think this will make most Falcon's fans forget about the GA Dome, and after all that is what the whole point is.

I disagree. Most fans I know love the Dome and will have fond memories of it long after it's demolished.

I respect that other fans love the Dome and will miss it, but for me this seems the perfect time to turn the page. Now maybe the Falcons can send the Dome out with a SB win before it's demolished.

To me the best moments for the Dome center around the 1996 Olympics, but I was a season ticket holder for Falcons games when Vick was carving up the field, but for me I always think of Vick and his ugly departure when I think of the Dome.
