That's a good description. It's almost as if they decided to make their food as soul less as possible. I'd sooner eat the slop at Taco Bell than eat there.

Nuevo Laredo on the westside crushes all competition when it comes to Mexican food.

Taquería La Oaxaqueña

Very good tamales along with everything else. I will have to try Nuevo Laredo though.

It seems like Moes does a better business here in Atlanta, than does Chipotle, though I think there are more Moe's since this is Atlanta and their home market. I personally have only eaten at Chipotle a few times, and nothing stands out to have much to say. I guess I like Moe's. I am suprised by how many people on this thread do not like Moes. Either way I prefer more traditional mexican food, and I often go to many of the smaller restraunts on Bufford Highway just up from Chamlbee. Very good food.

I seem to think they have salsa verde, too. If you go to their food page, and click "salsa bar" on the right, they have a tomatillo salsa pictured there...
They do sometimes but apparently not consistently. I grabbed a bite with a friend there a couple of weeks ago (the one on Roswell near Wieuca), and they definitely did not have it. In it's place, they had a jalapeno salsa.

I was not a fan before I moved here, but I found most of the other food here bland. Mexican food was the first thing I tasted with a little kick to it so I really started to like it. I rarely go to the fast food Mexican spots though.

It's about time they got a Chipotle in Clayton. If they can put one in Paris, France they can sure put one Morrow, Georgia.

Technically Chipotle, Moe's, etc are not Mexican. They all specialize in versions of the Mission Burrito (or San Francisco style burrito). It's was created in the US and could be called Mexican-American at best. I liken it to something like Pizza Hut which no one would expect to be authentically Italian. Although its based on food that originated in Italy, its about as American as it gets.

I do not think anyone believes those restaurants are authentic Mexican.

I think the closest thing to authentic that I have had in the U.S. was in California and it was quite delicious. I still tend to more of a fan of Tex-Mex because well, because I just like it. Fast food from the chains cannot lay it down like a normal restaurant, but that pretty much goes for fast food from any cuisine.

Moes has the best Nachos
Chipotle has the best burritos
Qdoba has the best quesadillas

Now all we need is a Chipotle out at Stonecrest for the east side folks.
