I'm from the south. I'm not used to snow so i like when we have it. As a kid in south Ga I would stare out the window by myself for hours waiting on snow when they said we may get a trace. I was disappointed each time so now I gotta play catch up

I was in Atlanta last winter and it was an epic disaster in the roads. I figured you guys were not used to that much snow.

Wasn't that an ice storm though?

Oh no... Complaints already coming in on how cobb county handled today's closure.
Lots of families arrived at school only to be told a 2 hr delay was in effect....30 minutes later calls went out school was cancelled.
I monitored the website so was prepared. Many parents had no clue.

^^ I can only imagine, judging by the hue and cry in North Fulton, which neither closed nor delayed. It's kind of silly to close based on a forecast possibility, such as last week's non-event, and then open as usual when there actually is snow falling.

Meanwhile tomorrow's advisory has now changed to a warning, 4+ inches possible.

What, do you think that you live in Canada? Lexington is only about a 5 hour trip up 75.

That's why anyone with sense should ire on the side of caution and just delay or close. This type of bipolar behavior of being open as usual in snow and ice because something didn't happen a week prior is stupid and dangerous.

Yea I'm not worried about the runways but the roads getting there! Anyway it looks like it's shifting earlier so it should be fine.

I wish we'd get one good snowstorm every year that lasted 24 hours and then was gone. 3 to 5 inches would be just about right. You could still drive in it if necessary, but have fun! I grew up in snowy climates and while I don't enjoy it as much as when I was a child, it's still pretty to see.
