Does anybody have any update on the taubman mall project on exit 12 of 400. The last news i read was i Think in november that they are planning to move ahead with it.

God, I hope not. If it does come to fruition, North Point Mall might as well go ahead and shut the doors. Take a page from Gwinnett, over retailing an area is never a good idea.

What are they thinking up there?
I believe that "Avalon" should've been an update/extension of North Point Mall, instead of a separate entity. And they still could've incorporated of all the "life-style mall" amenities in this update/extension. The wing could've had the name Avalon at North Point or something like that...

Very odd that they are pushing for mall/large retail developments when it seems like the future for these places aint so bright. It does seem quite foolish.

Seems to me malls are going out of style, everybody be shopping online or at open mall areas like avenues or outlets.
